ZimmVet

Great staff. Speak to you clearly and like a normal person. Make sure you understand what they are telling you. We felt prices were very affordable for the level of service we received. (Yeah yeah, money shouldn't be a factor, but it is.) The facility is amazing. First vet I've ever been to that had the dog scale sunken into the floor, so it's not a platform for my dogs to balance on. Seems so trivial, but I thought it was incredible. I'm probably easily amused.

I have really enjoyed the care that the ZimmVet team gives to my dog. He is nervous at the Vet and ZimmVet takes the time needed to ease into his care. Their office is very nice and the staff are all very kind, efficient and helpful. It is clear that they all love animals and enjoy what they do. I trust that they have Dexter’s best interest in mind with they care they provide to him.

I waited over a year to write this review. I wanted to be sure I was calm and collected. We brought our dog in due to sudden lameness in her leg. She had also been having what appeared to be allergic reactions ZimmVet diagnosed and was helping treat (hives, facial swelling, rashes from licking her stomach). There were some abnormalities in her blood test, but the focus was put on her X-Ray. ZimmVet told us she needed knee surgery in at least one leg if not both rear legs. She cried constantly in pain, so we couldn’t wait for ZimmVet availability. I called everywhere, even places out of state to find availability. We also got a 2nd opinion, but ZimmVet did not share the X-Ray so that Vet confirmed their diagnosis with hesitation. After yet another Vet performed their own X-Rays in preparation for surgery they discovered a large inoperable tumor on her spine on the side of her stomach she kept licking. We put her to rest with our hearts broken, and angry that knee surgery would have only extended and increased her suffering. Later discovering that the tumor had been visible on ZimmVets original X-Ray, we were left to wonder. Had it been opportunism, laziness, lack of ability to read an X-Ray? We don’t know, but we won’t be going back to ZimmmVet.
